Ellen Brown Textile Artist

I am a textile based artist currently based in the South of England. I have a particular interest in hand made felt although, as you can see from my gallery pages, my work encompasses a wide range of art and craft techniques.
Fascination with colour and texture led me to work with textiles. The alluring qualities that a textured surface offers provokes a profusion of thoughts; since childhood I have insisted on seeing with touch.

I am currently textile artist in residence at South Hill Park in Bracknell where I also teach a variety of courses and workshops. Textiles is a new venture for South Hill Park and to date it has been received very positively, resulting in the recently established adult evening Creative Textiles course.
For upcoming classes and workshops please see my diary page.
